SURGICAL TRAINING IN ECUADOR

Leading surgeons from across the United States travel to Ecuador to build the capacity of local ENT surgeons. The trainers utilize a mixed-methods approach, which comprises of lectures, hands-on workshops, and shoulder-to-shoulder surgical operations, to ensure comprehensive learning.

Local surgeons not only gain skills and knowledge to conduct operations, but they also receive ongoing mentorship with the international surgeons through our innovative WhatsApp telemedicine group. These trips are often accompanied by teams from Help Us Give Smiles (HUGS) Foundation.
