Director of Finance and Co-Founder

For 18 years, prior to retirement, John served as President and Managing Director of Quabbin Capital, a Boston-based, privately-held investment firm. At Quabbin Capital, John redirected the firm’s original focus from real estate to that of a broader-range, alternative-asset investment company.

In this capacity, he refinanced and sold large commercial and other properties and subsequently developed a diversified portfolio of investments in Oil & Gas, Private Equity, Mezzanine Finance, and Venture Capital. Prior to joining Quabbin Capital, John was employed from 1981 to 1989 as a Managing Director of Arab Banking Corporation and affiliated companies in Latin America, Bahrain, and London, and engaged in financial advisory activities as well as acquisitions for Bank clients and for the Bank itself.

John began his career with the International Division of the Bank of Boston and was employed in Brazil and Costa Rica in various management positions and subsequently in Boston as Vice President in the European Group. More recently, John has been a Board member and Chairman of the Audit Committee of the FIMBank plc, which is based in Malta and specializes in international trade finance. John is a Trustee of the Steven C. Kletjian Trust and a Director of the Steven C. and Carmella R. Kletjian Foundation. John graduated from Cornell University with a BA in Philosophy.
